Kardashian Nails

I was inspired by the Kardashian Kollection, Dorothy Perkins collaboration with the beautiful Kardashian sisters and their Key Prints designs to create this funky animal print manicure.

If you want to try this manicure for yourself, you will need...
A good opaque white polish.
A Bright or neon polish for your pop of colour.
Black polish or nail art pen.
Dotting tool or bobby pin.

First I applied my favourite white polish to clean nails. This is the one and only OPI Alpine Snow, but any opaque white will do. Allow to dry.





Take your dotting tool and your bright colour, I am using Barry M no 291 in Cobalt Blue, and apply your spot colour over your base.





Taking your black polish next, partially outline the spots, alternating the direction in which you do so. Add a few small splodges of black in sparse areas to complete the look.





And there you have it, your very own animal print manicure!

Blackberry (or Plum) Gelly

Last year was a great year for Barry M and his team! so many great releases and new finishes, and amongst them were the Gellys.

A collection of 9 Hi-Shime formula polishes that replicate the glossy finish of a gel manicure.  All for £3.99 from the "drugstore." Sound great don't they!?

I hauled and reviewed Satsuma back in October last year, and instantly fell in LOVE with the formula and knew I wanted to try more.

This is Blackberry Plum (mine falsely says its Blackberry, impostor)! Gelly, GNP 1.

Although they claim to be one coaters, I have always done two. Thats not to say that they aren't pigmented enough! with a careful hand one coat would easily be ample.

I am disappointment in you Barry M: Web Effects Review

Imagine my excitement when browsing the make up aisles in superdrug when I came across a new Barry M Nail Effect

This is Web Effects 239 looking at the bottle you would be led to believe this nail paint is a bright orange nail art effect that will create spiderweb like shapes on your nails, little effort required.

Thats where we would both be wrong!

I applied this over Barry M 47 Black (the obvious colour choice I thought) but something give me the sneaky suspicion that this is just a rebranded, orange croc effect...

I can't express how disappointed I am at this moment in time. If this is just a bottle of orange Croc Effect (and I can't stress this enough) BRAND IT AS JUST THAT!! otherwise it leaves you loyal shopping feeling misled.

As you can see the effect on the nail bares no resemblance to that on the nail polish cap. I was only happy with one finger which was pure flook! as still requires a lot of imagination

While I appreciate the effort that Barry M is making to release new shades, and we have had more than a few. I just wish they were all up to BM Standards :(
