May Glossy Box UK!

This month Glossy Box was launched in the UK (You may all be familiar with the US counterpart Birch Box). Glossy Box is a monthly subscription service to give you access to high end luxurious beauty products and samples.

I was on bored from the word go! and signed up straight away. I love the idea of getting to try out new products every month with a really affordable price tag of just £10 a month.

From what I have heard the May Glossy Box sold out not just once, but TWICE!! maybe due to the rumours that the first monthly edition would include a Nars product, and Glossy Box did not disappoint :)

The package was so well wrapped and made you feel as if you were unwrapping something precious! so much attention to detail went in to this, it was so worth the wait!

As soon as I saw the card my eyes were drawn to the name of the first product NARS!!!

01. Nars Orgasm Illuminator

Photobucket

"This silky, shimmering highlighter creates instant radiance, giving skin a perfectly dewy spring glow. Universally flattering on all skin types"

Orgasm is a gorgeous peachy shimmer with gold flecks and they say it can be applied "all over the face or used as a highlighter, over or under makeup." or even mixed in with your foundation. I think I will wear this as a highlighter, I'm so pleased to have received this in my first Glossy Box as just yesterday I was looking on the Nars website at their LE Blush, Bronzer and Highlighter compact.

This product sample is a generous 30ml which is amazing! and after doing my homework my discovered that Nars actually sell this product in 30ml for £21.50 what a great bargain! thank you Glossy Box UK!

02. All for Eve Eve Red Lipstick.

Photobucket

"Eve Red lipstick was created by celebrity make up artist Daniel Sandler. This long lasting colour was designed to instill courage and poise in all who wear it."

At first glance this was scary to me! I truly believe I will never be able to pull off a red lipstick, but its fun to try! and its something I wouldn't necessarily buy for myself especially with a price tag of £10.50.

Its a cream, moisturising lipstick in a bright, full on scary red! I will maybe throw this on in my travel make up bag for Italy ... after all, every girl should own a red lipstick!

03. Bionova Lab Bioactive Cleanser for Normal/Dry Skin

"This cleanser gently removes all traces of impurities without damaging the skins natural barrier system."

I am not familiar with this brand but after a quick google search they appear to be a very innovative company specializing in custom skin care, an intriguing concept for me, especially because I am about to run out of my cleanser (Clineque) and looking for something new to try. I was planning to purchase Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, lets see if this sample can change my mind? ...

04. Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Rapid Repair Spray.

"Treat your hair with this vitamin packed finishing spray that immediately transforms the look and feel of hair. The lightweight spray can be used throughout the day, restoring vibrancy to dull and dry hair"

This product sounds as if it was hand picked for my hair! it feels and probably looks dull and horrid. I am in desperate need of a haircut to get rid of my dead ends but I am growing it, so I'm a scurrrdy cat! This product could just be the pick me up it needed. it smells gorgeous and is a very fine mist so it doesn't appear greasy on my hair at all. This I may have to look into buying the full size of <3 it!

05. Como Shambhala Invigorative Body Lotion.

"Refresh yourself with this light hydrating body moisturiser. Skin softening eucalyptus, mood enhancing lavender and stimulating peppermint make this the perfect wake m up."

I'm not sure whether I like the mixture of all these smells together, but I'm sure I will get used to them. It smells very organic and natural, the cream isn't too thick which I like, and is quickly absorbed into the skin where the scent will linger. I am going to have to try this one out properly before I decide whether or not I like it.

This product again is a generous size at 50ml, a full sized product would cost you £20 for 300ml and is available in the UK and EU only.

So there's my May Glossy Box roundup!

Overall I am so happy I have subscribed, everything is packaged wonderfully and feels uber luxurious. I can't wait for my next Glossy Box!

Have you got your Glossy box yet? what product was your favourite? or if your not signed up, what products from this months box would you have liked to try?

xoxo
