NOTD - Barry M Lemon Ice Cream

Its yet another grey, rainy Monday morning and I'm back to work :( Boo!

So to brighten the day up a I have a little Barry M for you.

This is Barry M's np307 Lemon Ice Cream shade from last year. It is a little hard to work with, this was 3-4 coats but for £2.99 you can't really complain. Its a fab colour, perfect for brightening up a dull Monday morning.

Valentines Manicures - Tiffanys and Roses NOTD

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

For my actual Valentines day manicure I thought I would combine 2 things every girl wants to receive every valentines day - Tiffanys and Roses <3

This is my first attempt at a free hand rose mani, and I quite like the effect but I think I need a little more practice

plus its the perfect mani to show off my fabulous new ring!

I hope you are all enjoying Valentines with your special someone, I'm off to enjoy a home cooked dinner and a bottle of champagne with by fantastic boyfriend <3>

I cannot tell you how much I adore this colour. Pink, Glittery, and super girlie, normally everything I hate but for some reason I just can't get enough of this colour! (this is just two coats).

Just look at this baby shine. The multi coloured glitter in this formulation is simply AMAZING! and catches every little bit of light. I have a feeling this will sell out quick, so get yours while you still can :)

Valentines Manicures - Anti Valentines

I know that not everyone celebrates Valentines Day, so here's a quick manicure everyone can do!

I used Ali's Big Break, a shimmery red from OPI's Burlesque collection, and Black Shatter on all fingers except my ring finger. where I used a craft brush to draw a heart in the Black Shatter, to give a "broken heart" effect.

Valentines Manicures - Cute Hot Pink Ruffian

I really do love a Ruffian mani.

They are super easy (I consider it to be much easier than a French tip) and fast to do, and if you find a good colour combo your nails will POP!

This is OPI Pink of Hearts 2010 (2 coats) - a subtle baby pink shimmer, as the bottom colour and 1 coat of Barry M's 272 in Shocking Pink - a bright hot pink creme <3

Valentines Manicures - A Rose for the Lady?

This is my all time fave konad design! beautiful for every occasion I have worn it for Birthdays, Christmas and countless others, and now Valentines <3>

For this mani I used 2 coats of OPI DS Extravagance as a base - a fantastic deep magenta polish multi coloured, almost holo,micro glitters that catch the light perfectly. This is a fantastic colour and absolutely stunning on the nail.

Then I used the rose design from Konad plate m65 on all nails except my ring finger,on which I used the single rose design . Unfortunately I couldn't get the design to show up as well on the polish as I have done previous times :( but I think, from the photos you can get a pretty good idea. I wish I could have added a rhinestone on my accent nail too, but I can't find them :(

I started with a base coat of No 7's 60's Mini Skirt - a creamy off white. You could use OPI's Alpine Snow or any white/off white you want.

For the black I used Barry Ms Black nail paint, I started buy drawing an arch at the side of my nail on each side, then I carried the line down to make the heart shape, and filled in the middle with the Barry M Black

I have seen people fill the rest of the nail in black to give a double arch ruffian effect to their manicure. But I really like the effect of shaping that this gives to the nail, without having to file to a point.
